They came to us from a colony property in West Virginia with painful wounds and every reason to be fearful. Sally had swelling in her forehead and face with a small wound on her head. Gilly arrived with an injured rear leg, likely from some kind of trap or getting stuck. Yet through it all, neither girl showed anger or distrust. Instead, they accepted their medicine like champs, kept their appetites strong, and leaned into every cuddle offered. Their sweetness has never wavered. Though they are each wonderful on their own, their hearts are tied together. They miss each other when separated and find comfort side by side. We would love to see these girls adopted together, where they can continue their special bond and spend the rest of their lives safe, cherished, and adored.
