About Vanilla Bean
Vanilla Bean is a roughly 3-year-old spayed female Lab mix with a soft yellow coat who spent much of her life outside, rarely allowed indoors. She got used to wandering her neighborhood and was passed between houses before ending up at a shelter, where a volunteer noticed how stressed she was and gave her a temporary home. Vanilla Bean greets people with a friendly, social attitude, and she’s house-broken but isn’t crate-trained. She loves being inside now and is happiest curled up indoors, riding in the car, or fetching for a game or two. She enjoys daily walks and is playful with older children, though being sensitive about her rear end, she shouldn’t join households with young kids. Vanilla Bean does well around other dogs, especially in the park, though she needs gentle handling due to her history. She would thrive in a home with a yard, but she isn’t suited for being left outdoors alone for long stretches. She’s current on rabies and distemper shots, spayed, microchipped, and has adjusted well in her foster’s care. Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin!

Questions about Vanilla Bean
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
A Labrador Retriever mix like Vanilla Bean typically does best in a home with a yard and plenty of indoor time. She’s happiest when she’s part of the family’s daily life—not left outdoors on her own.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Vanilla Bean would benefit from a secure backyard for play and exercise, but regular walks and active time with her people are just as important as space itself.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Labrador mixes are generally good with children, but because Vanilla Bean is sensitive about her back end, she’d be best with older kids rather than young ones.
