About Topsy

Topsy has shown playful and friendly behavior around female cats and does best with gentle introductions to new feline companions. He’s been through a lot—his initial adoption didn’t stick due to another cat’s aggression, so he’s looking for a home that can give him time to settle in. For the first week, Topsy needs a comfortable, private space like a guest room with his food, water, litter box (preferably high-sided), and plenty of toys. Wand and laser toys light him up, although he thrives best with short, engaging play sessions so he doesn’t get overwhelmed. He’s consistent with the litter box and knows fingers aren’t toys, which helps reinforce good manners. Affection is important to him, but he benefits from calm, gentle interactions—a little goes a long way before he’s ready for more. Topsy nearly ran out of time at the shelter before rescue. He’s shown himself to be kind, sweet, and easy to handle, with beautiful silver tabby markings. He’s great with kids and clearly enjoys attention and play. Topsy is ready for a real home where he will be appreciated for his playful spirit and loving gentleness. Born May 5th, Topsy is a Taurus—expect a loyal, steady companion.
