About Oscar

If you could imagine a baby deer as a cat, you’d get Oscar. He’s just turned one and, after a month of settling into his foster home, he’s warming up beautifully. Oscar is a sun puddle enthusiast and will bat a pipe cleaner around for ages. He likes to perch on the bed, loves long petting sessions, and will either curl between two people for the night or stretch out by your feet. Pick him up and he’ll tolerate it, but it’s not his favorite part of the day. He does get along well with other cats—Trejo, Tutor, and Benji are all on his good side, so he’s a solid candidate if you’re hoping to adopt a pair. At mealtime, Oscar lets out a soft trill of excitement for wet food. When bringing him home, let him start off in a smaller space—like your bedroom—so he learns you’re his person; he’ll probably need about a week before venturing out to be by your side. Once Oscar trusts you, he’s all in. Ready to meet this gentle orange and white guy? Bring a carrier and introduce yourself at Petco Bouquet Canyon on Saturday from 12-4pm. Your new friend might just be waiting there. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
