About Genie

Genie is a three-year-old Great Pyrenees who decided farm life just wasn’t for her. She wasn’t interested in guarding livestock or sticking close to the flock, and after making several escapes, her former owner decided she needed a new home. Since leaving the farm behind, Genie’s clearly discovered her true calling: lounging comfortably as a house dog. She’s gentle and affectionate, though she might hang back initially until she gets to know you. Once comfortable, Genie becomes loyal and will nudge you with her classic Pyr paw when she wants attention. Genie lives with young children and does great with them. She coexists peacefully with other dogs as long as they respect her space—she has no patience for rough, excitable dogs or puppy antics. This chill girl is also fine with cats and prefers a calm household. Genie would enjoy a fenced yard to stretch out or nap in the sun, and she appreciates a home with her own spot to relax. Although she’s based in Nashville, TN, she’s able to travel to find the right home. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
