About Lover Boy Leo

Lover Boy Leo arrived from the Bahamas along with over a hundred other animals, but he stands out in a crowd. Due to a congenital difference, Leo doesn’t walk—he hops and jumps on his front legs, a quirk that’s quickly won over everyone who meets him. His gentle, easygoing nature is immediately endearing; this is a dog who prefers simply being near people. Leo is about three and a half years old, large-sized, and fully vetted. He’s house trained, gets along well with other dogs and cats, and currently enjoys hanging out in his fenced yard in Stoughton rather than hiking or going on long walks. Leo doesn’t bark unless encouraged by the other dogs, and he’s very food motivated—mealtime is a highlight of his day. He’s adapted to sleeping on his own dog bed rather than the couch or bed, showing just how easy he is to live with. Leo’s foster, despite rarely fostering large dogs, absolutely adores him and describes him as the type of dog who leaves a mark on your heart. Gentle, charming, and companionable, Leo is ready for someone who appreciates his unique spirit. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
