Sylvie came to us from our friends at animal control. She was born in June of 2025 and is a Doberman/Lab/Pit. Sylvie does great with dogs and kids. She is very nervous when she first meets someone new, but warms up quickly and is easily bribed with treats. She would do fine with another dog in the home and is very willing to submit when another dog is showing dominance. She loves to be with people but isn't overly needy. She has been sleeping on a dog bed in the bedroom and sleeps all night without issue. Sylvie would benefit from a home with a fenced-in yard or access to daily movement- she loves to run around playing chase with another dog or playing fetch. She has high energy outside and loves to go out and play and explore, but once she comes inside is content chewing on a bone and snuggling on the couch. She has had no potty accidents during her time with her foster family and started to show interest in ringing the bells to go outside. She is able to stay in a crate for a few hours at a time, she will cry about it but will eventually fall asleep -blankets only in the crate though. She also does well when left alone in the house and prefers to just find a spot to curl up and sleep on the couch. She is getting used to walking on a leash and is learning not to pull. She rides well in a car but is definitely nervous and does some quiet whining from the backseat. Syl does a great job coming when called/whistled for, listens to "no", and is working on sit. She is incredibly intelligent and picks up on cues and routines very quickly. She is always happy to get a bowl of food and does great with a slow feeder. She has no known medical issues and has shown no behavioral issues. She is incredibly well behaved, learns quickly and is a very sweet and happy girl. She would make a great family dog.
