He's out of the puppy yips and is eager to once again have his own humans for sniffy walks and world exploration! A cushy dog bed, quality kibble, and lots of snuggles are on his wish list as well. And - his sweet boy landed in the shelter with his coat overgrown and matted - and mats hurt! Daily brushing and regular professional grooming are important to him. Most of all he wants to know where he belongs, that he's safe and loved. What My Foster Says About Me: Beasty Boy is a sweet, outgoing pup who thinks every stranger is a new friend he just hasn't met yet! He has done well in foster care—he settled quietly in his crate and proved to be a strong, steady walker who kept pace and responded well to gentle correction, making him a potential jogging companion. He integrated smoothly with small dogs and neighborhood dogs, and was consistently friendly with everyone he met; staff also noted he did well with children. He knows “sit,” takes treats gently, and while he handled stairs going up, he was initially hesitant going down but was expected to gain confidence quickly. Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
