About Hemlock
Hemlock is a sweet, young beagle and lab mix—not a toxic plant at all—looking for a true place to call home in Washington, DC. He’s a smaller guy at around 25 lbs and still very much a puppy at heart. He gets along well with other dogs and is hoping to find a home that gives him chances to burn off energy through walks and playtime. If things get a little loud or overwhelming, he’ll do better with another dog in the household to help him feel secure. That classic beagle nose means he loves a good sniffing adventure. He can be shy at first and takes some time to warm up in new situations, but if you give him a little patience, he'll reward you with plenty of affection and steadfast loyalty. Hemlock has completed heartworm treatment, is vaccinated, and neutered, so he’s ready for a safe and happy future. What he needs most is someone who will appreciate his gentle nature and give him the kindness he deserves. He’ll be a loving, devoted companion to whoever’s lucky enough to bring him home. This could be the start of something paw-some.
