Grizzly is a 9-year-old black domestic longhair with a story of resilience and quiet strength. He arrived at the shelter as a stray in rough condition, his coat painfully matted and his body showing the toll of life on the streets. Despite everything he’s been through, Grizzly has proven to be a gentle soul who’s ready to leave his difficult past behind. He has tested positive for FIV, which means he’ll do best as the only cat in the home or with another FIV-positive companion. With proper care, FIV+ cats can live long, happy lives, and Grizzly is no exception. Since arriving, he’s been getting the care he desperately needed, including relief from his severe matting—though he’s still missing some patches of fur as his coat recovers. What hasn’t been missing, however, is his sweet and deserving nature. Grizzly is now ready for a fresh start: a warm, safe home where he can finally relax, be loved, and enjoy the comfort he’s gone so long without.
