About Maple

Adoption Fee: $475 When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped! What we know: Litter of 10 (7F, 3M) transferred from Espanola Humane in NM. Puppies were born at another shelter and the family was pulled from the euthanasia list by Espanola. Mom became too aggressive to provide basic care to her or the babies and puppies were separated to allow the behavioral team to work with her. Puppies arrived at CPR at 10 days old. Mom was transferred to CPR at a later date and is puppy #463 - Mama Tilly. From the foster: Meet Maple Maple may have started out as the tiniest of her Rhodesian Ridgeback mix siblings, but you'd never guess it now. Once the little runt of the litter, she's blossomed into a playful, spirited pup who can more than hold her own during playtime. She keeps right up with her brothers and sisters, bouncing around with confidence and curiosity. With her soft light brown and white coat and gentle eyes, Maple has a naturally tender presence-but don't let that fool you, she's got plenty of puppy energy when it's time to play. She loves a good wrestle or chase, then happily settles down when it's time to recharge. Where Maple really shines is in her affection. When you pick her up, she melts right into you-tucking her little nose into your neck and making the sweetest, soft whimpering sounds like she's telling you how much she loves being close. It's the kind of moment that instantly steals your heart. Maple is also doing wonderfully with her potty training for such a young pup. She's already catching on to going outside and showing great early habits, which is always a bonus. And in true Maple fashion, even mealtime reflects her gentle personality-she prefers to eat slowly, taking one bite at a time, as if she's savoring every moment. Maple is the perfect mix of resilience and sweetness-a once tiny pup who's grown into a confident little companion, while still holding onto that deeply cuddly, loving nature. www.coloradopuppy.org/how-to-adopt
