About Play Yard Jon
Play Yard Jon is hanging out at the adoption cattery at Petsmart of Hilton Head, just waiting for visitors. He’s the kind of cat who looks like he might be a tough guy, but it’s all show—he’s not a fighter at all, just a big softie at heart. Jon started life as a street cat in Savannah until a kind foster scooped him up. Indoors, he’s making up for lost time, enjoying all the home comforts, and showing off his unique, classic tabby swirls. Jon’s mastered the art of looking grumpy, though in reality, he’s a total sweetheart with excellent house manners. He sticks to his litter box, and he’s now healthy, neutered, and fully vaccinated. At roughly 1–2 years old, he’s ready to find his permanent family and doesn’t mind a lap, a blanket, and treats. If you want a cat who is affectionate, smart, and always up for a snuggle, Jon delivers. Jon may do well with a gentle resident cat or even a cat-friendly dog, given a careful introduction. Volunteers are available to help with the transition for the right match. He’s a classic lap cat who’s just waiting for someone to notice his charm and offer him a home to settle into.
