About Rusty
Meet Rusty—a sweet orange tabby kitten with a brave little heart. He arrived at Salty Paws with his siblings after being left behind on Hilton Head Island. Rusty is still learning to trust, but even when nervous, he’s never once lashed out. The older cats at the rescue are teaching him that people can be a source of treats, toys, and safety. Just about 8 weeks old, Rusty’s playful streak is shining through, and he’s showing signs of being an adventurous companion. He really thrives around other cats, so he’d do especially well in a home with a feline friend—whether that’s one of his siblings or another social cat. Rusty is currently waiting for some final vetting and his neuter, so he’s available now as a foster-to-adopt, which means you can start bonding with him early to see if it’s a perfect fit.
