About Harper Lee Needs
Harper Lee is a 4 year, 10-month-old Bull Terrier mix living in foster care and gearing up for her journey from the South to New England—her ride is covered, so no extra travel costs. She’s a compact, roughly 50-pound, short-haired, apricot and white beauty with a sunbeam of a personality. Despite coming into rescue underweight and with leg deformities from rickets as a puppy, Harper never lost her spark. She’s full of life, absolutely relishes every experience—rain, dirt, sunshine, toys—and never sees herself as any different from other dogs. Actually, she can still outrun most of her foster buddies and approaches every day with energy and joy. She bonds deeply and loves physical affection, often becoming the center of attention in any group. She does have a strong jaw and enjoys tough chews, so sturdy toys and a watchful eye are a must. With children and other dogs, she’s friendly and playful, though she can get a bit rough in her enthusiasm. Cats, however, are not her cup of tea. Harper Lee is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and fully house trained. Her foster reports she can be spoiled and won’t turn down a stretch on your lap at night. If you’re looking for a social, affectionate dog who greets every moment with excitement, Harper could be the one to brighten your home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
