Ruger was surrendered through no fault of his own and is now looking for a loving home. He is reported to do well with dogs, children, and strangers, making him a great fit for many types of families. Ruger is housebroken, rides well in the car, and walks nicely on a leash, making him an easy companion for both everyday life and outings. He does experience separation anxiety and does not like being left alone, so he would do best in a home where someone is around often or can help him work through this with patience and consistency. Ruger is said to have a beef allergy and has been on apoquel and prednisone to manage his skin. Ruger is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. Ruger is exceptionally overweight is currently on a diet. A diet is recommend in his future home for his health.
