About Maizel

Maizel is a medium-sized, 6-7 year old pit bull mix living in Stephenville, TX who greets everyone like an old friend. She’s affectionate, kid-crazy, and seems to light up around children even more than adults. After a family change left her needing a new home, she’s shown nothing but warmth and good manners with her people. Maizel is housebroken, crate trained, and perfectly content left alone for reasonable stretches. She rides well in the car, walks politely on leash, and responds to basic commands. She gets a real kick out of toys and balls, still acting like a happy-go-lucky puppy at heart. Her foster says she’d thrive in a home with children and enough yard space to play. She’ll need to be the only dog, and she can’t live with cats due to a strong prey drive. Maizel needs a secure, sturdy fence—she can clear many chain-link fences if she spots a small animal outside. Though startled by loud noises sometimes, she rebounds well and settles in calm, patient homes. Maizel is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on prevention. She just wants a safe, steady place to be the loving, playful companion she’s always been. Click apply to start the adoption process.
