About Snoop

Click apply to start the adoption process. Snoop is a friendly and joyful dog, bursting with love and a ready-to-please attitude! Despite arriving in a new environment, he was instantly welcoming to his foster mom and continues to charm every new person he meets. His greetings are polite—never jumping or getting overly excited—just happy to say hello and soak up affection. Snoop enjoys being petted and has a velvety coat ideal for snuggling on your lap. He’s been accepting and sociable with other dogs in his foster home, as well as canine visitors. Snoop tries to play, though the resident senior dogs aren’t always up for it. With cats, his manners vary; while he’s calm around the older cat, the younger one sometimes tempts him to chase or bark, but he is learning to relax after a few days. House training is progressing but still a work in progress, and leash walking is also something he’s getting used to. He’s fed in his crate and, true to his beagle roots, has a healthy appetite and would happily sneak other dogs’ food if given the chance, though never aggressively. Snoop loves his toys but especially enjoys chewing on cardboard boxes. He’s happy to hang out at home, but really lights up when he can run free at the dog park or in a backyard. He’ll thrive in an active family with plenty of space for play, as his energy level is just above moderate. Snoop is currently heartworm positive, with treatment scheduled, and will be ready for a sleepover in mid-May, provided his new family can follow the post-treatment care instructions.
