About Beau
Beau is hard to miss. He’s got a shiny silver coat and sharp, alert eyes—but it’s the way he stays loyal and gentle that stands out most. At just three years old, this Lab/Pit mix has landed in three different homes thanks to nothing he did; two were just pure chaos, and the latest simply can’t keep him due to family changes. Through all of it, Beau keeps putting one paw in front of the other, always wanting to connect with his people. Here’s what you get with Beau: a reliably house- and kennel-trained dog who roams free while you’re at work, but doesn’t get into mischief. He’ll snuggle in bed for a lazy morning, and sleeps happily in his kennel with the door left open. If someone’s outside, he’ll give you a heads-up, but otherwise keeps pretty quiet. On a leash, he moves right along with you—no fiascos. Beau is easy to love if you like a cuddler. He’s happiest at your feet, napping, or playing the goof with his favorite toys. He likes tug and will playfully protest if he loses. He’s food-motivated and has the “sit,” “down,” and “stay” commands down already. He’s done fine with another dog in the past, but if there’s one in your house, a meet-and-greet is a good idea. He’s not comfortable around small children—so a home without younger kids is a must. After all the restarts, Beau just wants steady people and a place to finally call home. Could that be you? Your new best friend is just one click away.

Questions about Beau
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Beau, as a Labrador Retriever/Pit Bull Terrier mix, is best suited for a home that offers both companionship and consistent routine. He thrives in environments where he can relax with his people, have access to indoor space, and enjoy daily walks.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Beau would enjoy a yard to run in, but he’s also comfortable with daily walks and playtime outside. This breed mix adapts well to homes with moderate outdoor space if regular exercise is provided.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Beau's history shows he gets nervous around small children, so a home without young kids is best. Generally, Labrador/Pit mixes can be good with respectful older children.
