About Darius

Darius is a big-hearted Labrador Retriever mix who’s equal parts snuggle bug and playful companion. He’s got a rich, chocolatey appearance and an affectionate nature, but he comes with a past—he grew up in a hoarding environment, so he’s not used to lots of people or chaos right away. If you let Darius set the pace, though, he’ll warm up and stick close. His favorite things are being near his humans, getting belly rubs, and playing with his toys. Darius enjoys the company of other dogs, and he’s house trained, though he still thinks crates are a work in progress. He’s learning how to keep his big, happy greetings in check—his hugs pack a punch, but he’s making progress with manners. If you want a loyal, sweet companion who gives as much as he gets, Darius is the kind of dog who’ll bring real joy into your life. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
