About Ace
Ace is a distinguished older pitbull mix with a big head and a trademark blue-gray and white coat. He has weathered some tough transitions after losing his person, but he's eager to find a family willing to let him settle into a reliable routine. Ace thrives on gentle affection and never turns down a good booty scratch, especially once he’s comfortable around you. He is house trained and, apart from some demand barking in stressful situations, generally easy to live with. A daily walk and some patient, steady guidance go a long way in helping Ace stay calm and happy. He does well with other dogs, provided introductions are handled thoughtfully. With cats, however, Ace’s strong prey drive means a feline-free home is best. For families with kids, sturdy dog-savvy children 8 and older could be a fit with the right boundaries. He’s resilient in an apartment as long as he stays exercised and engaged. The shelter requests his adopters commit to at least one private reward-based training session to help set him up for success. Give Ace a stable, loving environment, and he’ll reward you with loyalty and appreciation for all the good in life, especially making time for a stroll or some head rubs. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
