About Teddy
Teddy is a 7-year-old Doberman mix with deep brown coloring and an easygoing, gentle nature. He leans toward the timid side, sizing up the world a bit cautiously—for him, meeting new people or experiencing a change can be unsettling, but he’s slowly warming up to the idea that not every hand means harm. Approach him with patience and calm, and he’ll start to settle in. Once trust builds, Teddy bonds deeply and will show genuine loyalty. He’s got moderate energy and does pull a bit on leash, mostly when he feels insecure in unfamiliar places, so he’ll thrive with someone who understands the value of slow introductions and steady routines. Treats are taken with remarkable gentleness—no food issues to worry about. He isn’t interested in toys at this point and may not even know what to do with them. Teddy arrived at the shelter with two other dogs and is being evaluated for social play, but he’ll need a cat-free home. Currently, Teddy isn’t house trained, so expect to teach him the basics. He’ll be neutered and is getting much-needed dental care. If you’re ready to give a big-hearted, sensitive dog a structured, peaceful home, Teddy could be the right fit. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!

Questions about Teddy
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Teddy, as a Doberman Pinscher mix, will do best in a secure, stable household where he can build confidence and trust. Dobermans thrive in environments with consistent routines and calm, patient families.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Doberman mixes like Teddy benefit from a spacious, securely fenced yard for exercise and play, but regular walks and engagement are equally important. Extra-large breeds appreciate room to stretch out, even if it's through multiple daily walks.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Doberman Pinschers can be great with older, respectful children, especially when properly socialized. Teddy's timid nature suggests he would do best in a calm household, potentially with adults or older kids who understand his boundaries.
