About Tajin
Tajin is an 8-month-old, 6.5-pound Chihuahua mix who’s still figuring out that people can be safe and kind. He’s the oldest of his littermates but also the most timid. Tajin needs a patient adopter who will give him plenty of time and space to find his confidence. Once he feels secure, his gentle, affectionate nature starts to show—his foster has worked up to being able to pick him up and shower him with kisses, though he’s not the type to seek out cuddles just yet. A quieter home without too much noise or chaos would be best for Tajin. He hasn’t been around small kids, so an adult-only home or one with teenagers will likely be the best fit. He’ll really thrive with a calm, confident dog companion close to his own size—having a canine role model will help him learn how to navigate the world. Tajin is still anxious about leashes and easily startled, so a secure fenced yard is important for his safety and comfort as he continues to build trust. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, tested for heartworm, dewormed, and on monthly preventatives. If you’re ready to offer Tajin a patient and loving home, he’s ready to keep learning and growing. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Tajin
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Tajin, being a Chihuahua mix, tends to do best in calm, stable homes that aren’t overly noisy or hectic. These small dogs are well-suited for apartments, condos, or smaller houses, especially when their need for security is respected.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A Chihuahua mix like Tajin doesn't require a huge yard but does benefit from access to a secure, fenced outdoor area for gentle exploration and potty breaks. He’s still nervous of the outside world, so safety is key.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahua mixes like Tajin are generally more comfortable with adults or older, gentle children. Because Tajin is timid, a home without young kids or with respectful teenagers is likely best for him.
