About Boomer
Boomer showed up on a family's doorstep one winter, alone and with an injured ear, hoping for help. They took him in, got him patched up, and searched for his owner—no one came forward. While fostering him, Boomer has become a great companion who's proven resilient, sweet, loyal, and has befriended their family dog after slow introductions. Confident and affectionate, Boomer enjoys curling up on blankets, getting belly rubs, and sticking close to his people. He’s all muscle on the outside, but gentle at heart. House manners are solid, and he's fully house trained. Boomer is comfortable with a crate and often naps there by choice. He’s given free roam in his foster home and sleeps soundly through the night. Quiet overall, his signature snore can sometimes be heard when he's completely relaxed. Boomer enjoys his daily walks, thrives on regular exercise, and has made progress with leash skills thanks to a trainer. Still, he’ll do best with continued structure and a confident handler—he’s strong and occasionally pulls. Social with people, Boomer greets visitors with enthusiasm. He can get jumpy when excited, but redirects well and is eager to please. Toys haven’t caught his interest yet, but he enjoys staying active. Boomer has made big strides since the night he arrived looking for a second chance. Now healthy, neutered, and vaccinated, he’s ready for a home that will offer structure and patience in exchange for his devotion. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
