Thanks to their quick response, Boomer received prompt medical attention and lots of love, but no owner came forward. The family has fostered him for several months, during which he's blossomed into a resilient, affectionate, and loyal companion. Boomer has adjusted beautifully to family life and made friends with the resident dog after gradual introductions. He loves head and belly rubs, curling up on blankets or pillows, and simply relaxing near his people after a good walk. Although he may look solid and strong, his gentle and loving nature shines through. With excellent house manners, Boomer is fully potty trained and at ease in his crate—often going in on his own to nap. He’s permitted free roam in his foster home, rarely barks, and sleeps peacefully through the night (signature snore included). Boomer loves daily walks and benefits from regular exercise. He's made great strides with leash skills thanks to a trainer, though he sometimes pulls and will benefit from continued structure and positive training. He needs a confident handler to help reinforce his progress. Boomer is an enthusiastic and social pup, curious about people and eager to greet visitors. While excitement can get the best of him and he may jump up, he responds well to redirection. Play with toys is new for him, but he enjoys being active and engaged with his family.
