About Jake
Jake is a scruffy Norwich Terrier mix with an amazing turnaround story. After years fending for himself outdoors, he's finally safe, warm, and thriving in foster care. Despite his rough start, Jake is outgoing and eager to greet everyone he meets, from neighbors to visiting kids. He's a cheerful, social dog who brings a contagious pep to any walk or adventure, happy to be right in the middle of the action—whether you're working, playing, or hanging out in the yard. Jake has a strong playful streak and loves keeping up with other active dogs, making him an excellent fit for a home with a friendly canine companion. He’s done well meeting respectful children out of the toddler stage and enjoys regular playdates, walks, and lots of yard time. While very affectionate, Jake is not a couch potato and does best with families who want an active, engaged companion and have flexible schedules to keep him company. House training is coming along nicely, but he still needs oversight and a routine for continued progress. Jake is already neutered, up to date on shots, microchipped, and professionally groomed. He isn't a fit for homes with cats, but dog friends and kids make him happy. If you’re seeking a loyal, upbeat, and fun-loving buddy, Jake is ready to join your adventures.
