About Bonita

Bonita is a gorgeous 6-year-old husky mix who’s been looking for her forever family for most of her life. She came to rescue in rough shape with sarcoptic mange, skin and bones, and no one answering her microchip. Despite that heartbreak, Bonita never lost her easy smile or her loving spirit. She’s been waiting five years for someone to notice her and give her the chance she deserves. With her bushy curled tail and striking diamond eyes, Bonita stands out wherever she goes. She's clever and fun, and her playful, social energy draws people in. Bonita leans into affection, showing off both an independent streak and a real need to connect. She enjoys time with other dogs after proper introductions, but cats are a no-go. Like most huskies, she can be vocal and would do best in a house with a securely fenced yard—not an apartment—so she can stretch out, sing, and get her energy out safely. Bonita is house trained, spayed, and fully vaccinated. She also does well with children. After everything she’s been through, she’s still just as affectionate, lively, and ready to belong. She’s been counting the days for someone to see her for the gem she is. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
