About Jeremiah

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Jeremiah is a handsome, male-neutered senior cat with a charming grey tabby coat, estimated to be born in 2017. Jeremiah was found as a stray with his companions Conrad and Isabel, and together they lived in a catio, then a secluded room for several years. After their previous owner's passing, Jeremiah and his friends were welcomed at YAPS in September 2025 when the owner's daughter was unable to keep them. Although Jeremiah started out shy due to minimal human contact, more interaction at the shelter has revealed his gentle and affectionate side. He enjoys being petted, and may nuzzle or roll over to show his appreciation, though he prefers not to be held. Jeremiah shares a special bond with Conrad—the two often nuzzle and groom each other. While not required, it would be ideal if Jeremiah, Conrad, and Isabel could find a home together. If you adopt Jeremiah, it's best to introduce him to your household gradually, starting with a "safe room" to help him adjust to his new surroundings. If you are drawn to gentle, loving companions, Jeremiah is waiting to meet you in Yucaipa. Fun fact: With a birthday on October 21, Jeremiah is a Libra—Libra cats are known for their sweet and peace-loving personalities. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
