About Twain

Meet Twain, Freret’s newest distinguished gentleman. At seven years old, this small terrier/mixed breed has lived a full life—five years lounging on couches, enjoying Netflix marathons and quiet naps in a caring home. After his family could no longer keep him, Twain returned to the rescue, but he’s handled the transition with surprising ease. He’s found his groove in new surroundings and, to the amusement of all who know him, seems to be mellowing out (just a little). Twain remains very much his own dog. He has strong opinions about people and likes his routine and boundaries respected. He prefers a quieter, predictable home and isn’t looking for lots of visitors or surprises. If you make it into Twain’s inner circle, though, you’ve got a loyal, hilarious, and endearingly quirky friend for life. His devotion runs deep—when he bonds, it lasts. He’s up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, microchipped, dewormed, and packed with personality. Twain is a wonderful match for anyone who appreciates a companion with plenty of character and a need for trust to be earned over time. Give Twain the stability and patience he deserves, and he’ll repay you with years of laughter and loyalty. Start your journey together! Apply now.
