Meet Happy the Shiba Inu. True to his name, Happy always looks like he’s grinning, but life hasn’t consistently been kind to him. This boy spent his earlier years roaming the streets, which left him with old injuries and scars. Animal control picked him up limping, and he arrived in rough shape with a damaged back leg and deep lacerations. Weeks of care later, he's fully healed and showing his naturally optimistic spirit. Before rescue, Happy endured constant pain from untreated entropion in both eyes—a condition that makes every blink hurt. He’s now had corrective surgery and is finally experiencing real comfort, looking at the world with brighter, pain-free eyes. Happy is about four years old and weighs roughly 35 pounds. He’s looking for a home with Shiba experience—someone who appreciates their independent, catlike quirks and knows how escape-prone these dogs can be.
