About Puggy Pie Special Needs
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Puggy Pie has been through a lot, but you would never know it after spending just a few minutes with her. She lived her whole life with her original family until a tragic accident left her with a spinal fracture and dislocation of her L3-L4 vertebrae. Despite this challenge, Puggy Pie is pain-free and continues to live a joyful and fulfilled life. Since her injury, she requires special care, which her previous family was unable to provide, so they made the difficult decision to entrust her to rescue. Puggy Pie's resilience truly shines! Although she is paralyzed in her hind legs, she gets around swiftly, whether scooting or racing along in her wheelchair—which she absolutely loves, especially during outings. Due to her condition, she is both bladder and bowel incontinent and needs expression several times a day, but our helpful staff can guide you through the process until you feel confident. With a little practice, it becomes part of your daily routine. This little one is deeply social and affectionate. Puggy Pie does wonderfully with other dogs and adores cuddling up to a canine friend or her favorite human. She is peaceful, easygoing around children, and brimming with gentle warmth. It's easy to imagine her making a marvelous therapy dog, sharing her joy with nursing home residents, hospital patients, and all in need of a loving friend. Her ideal adopter should have experience with special needs dogs or a strong willingness to learn. Because she needs consistent care and companionship, a family that is home most of the day would be perfect. At just 5 years old and with her sun sign in Capricorn, Puggy Pie is steadfast, loving, and ready for her next chapter. Are you the one who can make her life even more extraordinary? They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
