Meet Hot Coco! Hot Coco may be in his golden years, but he’s just getting started on the good part of life. He came to us through our Animal Law Enforcement team after a rough situation, and now he’s ready for a fresh start with someone who will give him the comfort and care he deserves. This little guy is all heart. He’s sweet, affectionate, and happiest when he’s cozied up near his people. A soft bed, a gentle routine, and some love go a long way with Hot Coco. He does have some special needs. Hot Coco has Keratoconjunctivitis sicca (KCS), an autoimmune condition that went untreated before he came to us and has affected his vision. He’ll need daily eye drops for the rest of his life to keep him comfortable and slow the progression, so his adopter should be ready to stay on top of his care and have a good relationship with a vet. Because he can’t see well and takes things a bit slower these days, Hot Coco would do best with savvy kids who understand his needs. He’s open to meeting calm dogs and could likely live with cats with proper introductions. If you are interested in adopting, stop by our shelter any day between 12-6pm.
