About Alice
Alice is a 30-pound, 6-year-old Beagle mix with a brown and white short coat. She’s spent time in a home but was returned when the family grew too busy for her, leaving her uneasy around strangers in a busy household. In her foster home, Alice now greets everyone kindly—unless they happen to be cats. She’s made it clear she’s not a fan of feline company. Alice is active and house and crate trained. She comes with basic manners like sit and come, though she’s known to pull at the leash, especially if a cat is in sight. Large dogs are mostly fine with her, but she can be a little bossy when first meeting them. She’s more of a companion than a cuddler, but will occasionally snuggle up. Alice loves tennis balls, yard playtime, walks, car rides, belly rubs, and any time involving treats or toys. She listens well and catches on fast but prefers a peaceful environment. Alice will do best in an adult-only home that’s calm and steady. She can coexist with another laid-back dog, but not cats or children. She’s currently being fostered in Silver Spring, MD.
