About Aubrey
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Aubrey! Aubrey is a 6(ish) year old Boston Terrier who is still finding her way in the world. She is sweet and sensitive, and sometimes feels easily stressed, but beneath her uncertainty there’s a loving little dog who simply wants to feel safe and cherished. Aubrey will thrive in a quiet, patient home with someone who understands that trust is built over time, and who can promise her the patience, stability, and understanding she needs. She’s making great progress with her potty-training and is kennel-trained. While she’ll tolerate walking on a leash with a harness, she may run if frightened, so a secure home is very important. Not a nonstop cuddler, Aubrey prefers to lay near you instead, letting you know she trusts you in those quiet moments. She needs a home with no cats (due to her high prey drive) and will do best as an only dog, or possibly with calm, non-assertive canine companions. Aubrey can be reactive with dogs who are high-energy or assertive, particularly terriers or bully breeds. She is on a prescription I/D diet to manage GI sensitivity, and the ideal family is adult-only or with older kids (10+). Aubrey’s perfect match is someone retired, working from home, or generally home often, and who can offer the calm routine she needs. With the right person, Aubrey will be the most rewarding companion. She isn’t for everyone, but she might be everything to just the right someone! Make their next chapter their best one yet.
