Hello, my name is Elmer, and I am a sweet, shy puppy who is looking for my forever home. I am about 6 months old and weigh 36 pounds right now. I am a little on the timid side, so I am searching for a family who can help me build my confidence and show me all the love and care I need to flourish. I am super loving and I can't get close enough to you—I just love hugs and snuggling up to my people, it's the best feeling in the world to me. I enjoy fetching tennis balls and have a soft mouth release, the nice volunteers here at the rescue tell me I am good boy when I do that and give me pets, it makes me feel all proud inside. I get a little unsure and scared when people stand over me or with quick movements, it can make me crouch with a submissive wag. Maybe someone was mean to me at some point, but I sure am happy to be where I am now. I ABSOLUTELY need a leader to rely on for comfort, guidance and confidence building. I am also good with other dogs and enjoy their company. I have a soft, full loose body approach with them that moves into play. Having another nice four-legged friend to show me the ropes could really help build my confidence. With some patience, guidance, and most of all, love, I know I can become the best boy you could ask for. I can't wait to have a family to love and cuddle with.
