About Mara
Mara is a young, medium-sized Boxer/Bulldog mix with a lot of heart and a playful spirit. She thrives on human connection, always seeking to be close—whether curled up beside you or chasing after her favorite tennis ball. Mara's great at fetch, joyfully bringing the ball back every time and handing it over for another round. She absolutely loves soft toys and takes pride in all the new commands she's learned: sit, down, stay, watch me, place, bow, and circle, with "leave it" in progress. Mara is eager to please and quick to pick up tricks, though she could use some encouragement for confident leash walking. She's currently enjoying weekly training classes, demonstrating how smart and eager she is. Mara needs a home where any children are at least 13 and should be the only pet, as she isn't suited to live with cats. She isn't yet house trained but is making strides and is motivated by positive attention. Mara is spayed and up to date on vaccinations. If you want a loyal companion who brings energy and affection, Mara's waiting in Oxford, MI for someone ready to help her shine. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
