Hodong is about six years old and has a gentle, affectionate nature. Rescued from a difficult situation, he has blossomed in a loving foster environment and enjoys walks, people, and calm routines. Hodong is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, and has had clear heartworm and parasite tests. He is comfortable around both male and female adults and enjoys handling and affection. While he hasn’t been exposed to children or cats, he tends to be neutral to small dogs and prefers calm interactions with other dogs, making him a great companion for a quiet household. Hodong is housebroken (outdoor only) and accepts baths and nail trims without issue. He does not have escape tendencies, but would do best with adopters who can offer patience and gentle guidance as he continues to adapt to family life. Please note that this sweet boy is best suited to homes within a 45-minute drive of Springfield, Virginia, and we usually adopt to residents of Northern VA and DC suburbs only. Homes with children under 8 are not recommended. Applicants should be prepared for a brief home check and ongoing contact after adoption. Meet-and-greets are not offered due to Hodong's current foster placement in Korea, but transportation will be arranged once he finds his match.
