About Hodong
Hodong is a 6-year-old male Jindo mix, originally rescued from a tough situation with his brother. He was left in a cage with minimal care and was at risk of being sold for meat before he found rescue. Hodong weighs about 20 kg and has a short brindle and white coat. Heās neutered, up to date on all his vaccinationsāincluding a recent rabies shotāand tests clear for both heartworm and parasites. Heās housebroken, though he prefers to go outside rather than inside, and has been on a consistent Natural Balance Salmon Formula diet. Hodong is friendly and generally comfortable around adults, both men and women, but hasnāt been exposed to children so his reaction is unknown. He enjoys physical affection, handles baths and grooming without fuss, and loves his daily walks. Heās not a fan of rough play, especially from other dogs, and isnāt suited to very active canine companionsācalmer dogs are a better fit. Hodong does mark occasionally but doesnāt show any escape tendencies or separation anxiety, though he shouldnāt be left alone for more than four hours, per rescue policy. His appetite is solid, with moderate food motivation, and heās described as easygoing with minimal barking. Hodong is currently in Korea and will be transported only after an adopter is secured; meet-and-greet is not possible, and strict regional adoption guidelines applyāpotential adopters must live within 45 minutes of Springfield, VA, have no children under 8, and be prepared for a home check and post-adoption follow-up as per rescue policy.
