About Dooyoo

Dooyoo is a medium-coated, apricot Jindo mix rescued from a tough start on Jeju Island, where she survived against all odds and was the only puppy of her litter to make it through a harsh winter. She grew up surrounded by kindness—in a village restaurant and then a foster home—where her friendly, easygoing nature became clear. Dooyoo connects warmly with men, women, children, and other dogs. She hasn’t lived with cats, but she’s quietly curious when she spots them outside, showing no aggression. Dooyoo lights up at playtime, still has her puppy enthusiasm (and an occasional wiggle-pee when excited), and genuinely thrives on human attention. Despite early teething, she channels her energy into play and learns quickly with gentle encouragement. She adapts well to new experiences but appreciates a reassuring treat or kind word when things are unfamiliar. This young, spayed girl is house trained, walks well on a leash, and rarely barks. She has handled transitions smoothly—separation anxiety isn’t her thing, but she does best with loving company and isn’t suited to being left alone over four hours at a stretch. Dooyoo is currently in Korea; transport is arranged only after an adopter is secured. Applications are limited to those within 45 minutes of Springfield, VA. The rescue requires adopters be over 25, with homes checked, and typically does not place dogs with children under 8. Home checks, screening, and post-adoption monitoring are all part of their process. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
