At 2 years old and a perfectly pocket-sized 6 pounds, this Shih Tzu-Chihuahua mix is serving up equal parts softness, silliness, and “please give me a second, I’m processing.” He came into rescue with a group of five pups looking like they had just survived a very intense hair situation—terribly matted and in need of a serious glow-up. Underneath it all? A tiny, adorable little guy who is now fully embracing his fresh start and his new role as resident heart-melter. Squish is what we like to call cautiously curious. He’s not rushing into anything without doing a full vibe check first, which honestly just means he’s thoughtful. New people and places get a moment of observation, a few investigative glances, and then, once he decides everything is acceptable, he starts to lean in. It’s not hesitation—it’s quality assurance.
