At 2 years old and a perfectly snack-sized 8 pounds, this Shih Tzu is equal parts whirlwind and weighted blanket—somehow managing to zoom through life at top speed and then immediately melt into your arms like he’s been there forever. He came into rescue with five other pups looking like they had just lost a very serious battle with a hairbrush. Underneath all that? A ridiculously cute, fully operational love bug who wasted no time settling into his role as “most likely to steal your heart and your personal space.” Taro doesn’t just have energy—he commits to it. He’s the kind of dog who brings a little spark to everything he does, whether that’s playing, exploring, or just existing in a way that feels a bit more enthusiastic than necessary (and we love that for him).
