About Drake
Start your journey together! Apply now. Drake is a sweet six-year-old Shih Tzu mix boy who has overcome some tough beginnings. Although he has partial vision loss, Drake adapts well once he’s familiar with his surroundings, moving with confidence through daily life. This quiet, gentle soul is not a barker and has a mellow, laid-back nature, making him an ideal companion for a peaceful home. Drake is potty trained and interacts well with other dogs, though he tends to be shy around more assertive canine friends. He would do best either as the only dog or with a companion who has a similarly calm personality. At 18 pounds and currently on a healthy diet, Drake is working toward his ideal weight. As a coated dog, his hair grows continuously, so regular professional grooming every 6-8 weeks is needed to keep him comfortable and looking his best. Fun fact: With a birthday in October, Drake is a Libra, a zodiac sign known for its friendliness and balance—qualities that suit his sweet and easygoing personality perfectly. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
