About Apollo I'm A
They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now! Meet Apollo, a gentle 6.5-year-old Doberman whose resilience and loving nature shine through despite a difficult past. Arriving at DRU after being surrendered to a NY shelter, Apollo has quickly shown just how special and devoted he is. As a SSNAP dog, Apollo is currently receiving treatment for elevated liver enzymes and dry eye. He takes Denamarin for liver support and follows a prescription EN diet to keep his sensitive GI system healthy. To help him feel comfortable as he settles into shelter life, Apollo receives medications that bring him ease and tranquillity. Even after all he’s endured, Apollo radiates love, sensitivity, and undying loyalty. He thrives on human attention, eagerly seeking out affection and companionship—true to the "Velcro" Doberman reputation. Apollo’s ideal home is calm, structured, and nurturing, with someone dedicated to maintaining his daily routine, providing mid-day meals, regular potty breaks, and above all, lots of peaceful togetherness. A Leo by zodiac, Apollo possesses a big-hearted and devoted spirit, always ready to make a lasting impression on those around him. While adored by the team at DRU, he yearns for the consistency and unconditional love that only a forever home can offer. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
