Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started. Belle is currently being fostered in Dallas, TX and must be adopted within the Dallas or North Central Texas regions. Belle is an adorable Chihuahua puppy, only about 8 weeks old (as of mid-January), with a beautiful reddish brown short coat and weighing around 2 pounds—she’s still growing! Belle was rescued from a difficult situation where she and her siblings lived outdoors without shelter, but since being rescued, she has thrived in her foster home. She is delightfully playful and enjoys wrestling with the other small dogs in her foster home, as well as playing with toys. Belle is a loving puppy who enjoys both active play and cuddly downtime. She often seeks out lap time, running over for belly rubs whenever she can. Because of her tiny size, her ideal home will have a wooden fence, as she could slip through chain link or wrought iron fences. She is not suitable for homes with large dogs, but does wonderfully with small dogs and needs to have at least one small dog companion to play and grow with her. Belle is also reported to do well with older, mature children (10+ years old) but hasn’t been tested with cats. Due to her size and puppy status, her foster home is currently training her on puppy pads and she sleeps at night in a dog bed inside an ex-pen. She has not started leash training yet. Her perfect family will have a high activity level, be home throughout the day to check on her every 4-6 hours, and be ready to welcome a playful and affectionate puppy. She does not bark excessively and is house trained for her age. When ready for adoption (late March/early April), Belle will be spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and on prevention.
