About Aries
Aries is a chocolate and white, large pit bull mix who’s looking for both a foster and a forever home. Abandoned at a relative’s house, he’s still upbeat and extremely friendly. Aries grew up with another dog and played happily—though things soured a bit as both matured and hormones kicked in, so careful introductions are best. He’s an athletic guy who can chase a ball for hours and loves splashing around in kiddie pools at the kennel. Despite his size, Aries is convinced he’s a lap dog and doesn’t hold back with affection. Aries is used to older children and enjoys their company. He hasn’t been tested with younger kids or cats, so that’s still an open question. He does play well in supervised groups with other active dogs and does fine on pack walks. Left alone too long, though, he can get lonely—he needs plenty of people-time. Aries knows some basics and is eager for treats, making him a great candidate for continued training, including with the leash. His vet calls him “amazing” and even posed for a picture with him after his checkup. He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and house trained. Aries was born September 2021, making him a driven and social Virgo—so he’ll thrive in a routine and please his people. If you’d like to open your home to Aries, whether temporarily or for good, he’s ready to steal your heart. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
