About Mikey
Mikey is a large, young pit bull mix with a short grey and white coat, found wandering on his own until he landed at CARL’s Burnice Kraemer Sanctuary. Despite being chipped, his original owners never came for him, so now he’s searching for a second chance with someone who’ll stick around. Mikey needs a foster home as well as a forever family. He’s easy to walk past other dogs—no over-the-top reactions—but give him a whiff of something interesting and he puts his nose to work, sometimes tugging at the leash to investigate. Training is a work in progress, and a home ready to provide structure and patience will help him gain confidence and learn good habits. Whether he gets along with cats or kids is still up in the air, but he does get along with dogs on his walks. Mikey is sweet, adaptable, and ready for a new start. He’s also a Libra, which probably means he’ll appreciate a balanced, loving home. Click apply to start the adoption process.
