AvailableAmelia is a young, medium-sized Black Labrador Retriever mix currently in Sherwood, OR. She is spayed and her vaccinations are all up to date. She is looking for a loving family who can offer her plenty of companionship and playtime in her new home.
About Amelia
Amelia came from the streets of Mexico and is now thriving in foster care. She’s estimated to be about 10 months old—a young, sweet Black Lab mix with plenty of affection to share. Amelia started life skinny, dirty, and flea-ridden after being found outside a house with another dog, but now she’s healthy, social, and ready for her next adventure. Despite her rough beginnings, she’s remarkably cuddly, gentle, and loves curling up for a nap in any cozy spot she can find. She gets along well with other dogs and cats and has a good nature with children, as long as they respect her space, toys, and food. Amelia’s house training is in progress, but she transitions quickly—most rescued street dogs need a week or two to get on schedule and learn indoor routines. She’s still working on leash walking, so her adopter should be ready to gently introduce the concept. Amelia isn’t a big barker and shows no signs of food guarding. She’ll do best in a home where she won’t be left alone for long and will thrive with lots of love, playtime, and patience. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
