Abigail
AvailableAbigail is an apricot and beige, medium-sized mixed breed dog with a short coat. She’s an adult female, 2 years and 10 months old, currently living in palm bay, FL. Abigail is spayed and fully vaccinated. Due to past abuse, she does have special needs; she’s missing part of her lower lip and tongue and must eat soft foods. She’ll benefit greatly from patient, gentle care in a home ready for her learning curve.
About Abigail
Abigail is a gentle, shy girl who truly blossoms when given love and affection. She came from a situation where neglect and cruelty were the norm, rescued with 30 other dogs after being chained outside without food, water, or shelter. The scars from her past are real; she’s missing half her lower lip and part of her tongue, so she’ll need a diet of soft food going forward. Abigail hasn’t lived in a home before, and she’s still learning what it means to be cared for inside four walls. House training will take patience and understanding. Because of her history, Abigail really needs to be the center of attention as the only pet in her new home, where she can heal at her own pace and learn what safety feels like. If you can offer her a quiet, loving environment, Abigail will reward you with playfulness and devotion you won’t forget. Adoption is the new adventure! Ready to roll?

Questions about Abigail
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
American Staffordshire Terriers like Abigail do best in homes where they have plenty of attention, structure, and exercise. They thrive with calm routines and benefit from a secure, peaceful indoor space, especially after trauma.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Abigail’s breed does well with a moderate yard to burn off energy, but a daily walk and playtime matter more than the actual size of the outdoor area. Secure fencing is always recommended.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
American Staffordshire Terriers are often good with children when socialized properly, but Abigail will need an adult-only home due to her background and needs.
