Avocado Toast, or "Cado" for short, is a quirky, playful 11-month-old with an energetic spirit and a whole lot of love for his people. He’s always looking for something to carry around—whether it’s a toy, a blanket, or the nearest sock—and takes pride in delivering his finds to you with a goofy grin. Living with six other dogs in his foster home, he gets along well with canine friends and understands how to play gently with smaller or special needs dogs. That said, he prefers to be the star of the show and can be a bit of a toy hog, especially with his littermates. His favorite things include peanut butter, bananas, kale, and zooming around the backyard. Cado's a smart guy who learns quickly but will find his own entertainment (like counter surfing) if left bored, so durable chew toys are a must. While he’s not a fan of being kenneled, treats make it easier, and he eventually settles down. He’s close to being house trained, although he sometimes forgets to let you know he needs out when he’s caught up in playtime. Cado thrives on affection and doesn’t respect personal space—expect him nestled close by or plopping his head on your shoulder. He does best in a home with a yard and would love an active family experienced with energetic, intelligent dogs (kids over six are ideal). He enjoys older, larger dog companions, yet being your main focus would suit him too.
