Grits, also called Gigi, is all personality: silly, playful, and packed with more energy than her smallish size lets on. She’s a year old now, and the runt-turned-heartthrob in her litter. You’ll notice her zooming around the house, bouncing off squeaky toys, and insisting on taste-testing anything edible that might hit the floor. Give her a peanut butter treat or a chew toy, and she’s in heaven. She’s living with six other dogs at her foster home and does great with them—expect play-wrestling, sharing snuggles, and the occasional monster sound effect for comic relief. Gigi gets along with cats, though her best feline playmate was back when she was just a few months old. She loves kids and would settle right into family life, especially if you have little ones looking for a snuggle buddy. She’s almost house trained and has learned to hang out in her crate for short stretches. Gigi is working on her sit, down, and recall—treats help a lot. She’ll wedge herself next to you on the couch or burrow in under your arm at night, and her snores are legendary. Even her farts have a sense of humor.
