Meet Rue At just a year and a half old this beautiful boxer mix has already shown incredible resilience. Rue was found in a cemetery alongside what we believe were her parents (Laurel and Hemlock), left to figure things out on their own. Despite that tough start, Rue's gentle spirit is still very much intact. Rue is sweet, sensitive girl who is learning that the world can be a safe and loving place. She can be a bit unsure at first, so she's looking for a patient home that will give her the time and encouragement she needs to truly blossom. Having another confident dog in the home would make a huge difference for Rue- she looks to other dogs for guidance and comfort as she builds her own confidence. Because of her shy nature, Rue would do best in a home with older, respectful children who understand how to give space when she needs it. Once she feels secure, Rue's affectionate side starts to shine, and she forms strong, loyal bonds with her people. Rue is ready for a fresh start- a place where she can feel safe, learn to trust, and finally just be a happy young dog. With a little patience and a lot of love, she's sure to become an incredibly devoted companion.
