Bruno
AvailableBruno is a Mastiff/Great Dane mix with a large, powerful build and a short, black and white/cream coat. He’s an adult, neutered male in Springfield, MO, and is fully house trained. Bruno is up to date on vaccinations and thrives in a home with a big backyard.
About Bruno
Bruno is a big, goofy spirit who thinks he’s a lap dog despite his 60lbs Mastiff/Great Dane frame. At around three years old, he’s already housebroken and working hard on his leash manners. Bruno loves to wrestle and run around with his foster siblings in the backyard, but he’ll want a solid 6-foot privacy fence or he’s likely to wander and make friends with the neighbors. As much as he’d rather sleep in bed, Bruno spends nights in his kennel for now, though it’s not his favorite place. His playful streak comes out whenever there are tennis balls around—don’t expect him to part with one easily, but he’s learning to share. He’s quick to warm up even if a bit shy at first, and he absolutely adores his humans once they’ve earned his trust. If you’re up for a loving, affectionate companion who thrives with space to play and a pile of treats, Bruno’s ready to meet you. He does well with other dogs, so an active furry friend would be a bonus. Get ready for plenty of snuggles—this guy’s all heart. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!

Questions about Bruno
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Bruno, as a Mastiff/Great Dane mix, is best suited for a home that has ample space—preferably a house with a securely fenced yard. These large breeds don’t do well in confined apartments for the long term.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
A breed like Bruno’s needs a generous backyard for play and exercise, as Mastiff/Great Danes enjoy room to stretch and run. A six-foot fence is ideal to keep him safely contained.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Mastiff/Great Dane mixes like Bruno are usually gentle giants who do well with children, but their size means supervision is always wise, especially around small kids.
