About Waylon
Waylon needs a new home, and though he isn’t in Tired Dog Rescue’s care, the group is helping share his story. A Black Lab and German Shepherd mix, Waylon has lived with a loving family since puppyhood. He’s four years old (a Scorpio—meaning he’s likely loyal and strong-willed), neutered, housebroken, and up to date on his vaccinations. Waylon knows several commands: sit, shake, lay, roll over, and "give paw." He’s calm, friendly, and has never shown aggression. He’s had plenty of socialization around adults, kids—including toddlers—and both small and large dogs, and he gets along with all of them. There haven’t been any health issues with Waylon; he’s been on heartworm prevention and eats a steady diet of Purina dog food. He’s being rehomed only due to a family member’s allergies, so this is a tough, sincere decision. His ideal home is one that can give him steady love, the chance to bond fully, and continued structure. Waylon is a confident, affectionate dog who’s ready for consistency and care in a new family.
